Our technology

One company goal is to have the most advanced systems of any marketing and distribution company in Australasia. In 1999 the company went 100% automated from point of contact in the store through to warehouse ordering and delivery. Since then Masterpet has continued to invest in advancing its systems.

Masterpet has introduced industry-leading radio frequency technology so that everyone in the distribution centre has a computer terminal and scanner. This removes the need for paper, ensures data integrity and minimises the error rate.

Implementation of the mobile sales force solution, using Telecom's Mobile JetStream, has halved the company's IT costs and improved customer service by:

  • Improved sales rep productivity and service levels
  • Reduction in time to process orders, aiding just-in-time stock management
  • No more double entry errors
  • Better communication with remote staff

Today Masterpet is recognised as having the leading edge in wireless technology in frontline customer service application. Recognition was supported by the Microsoft Overall Excellence Award at the InterConnect 2003, Microsoft Business Solutions event. There have been many visits requested to our Gracefield distribution centre by Adidas, API (Australia's largest pharmaceutical company), Serco Aus/NZ, The Warehouse, Mainfreight, Siemens, Foodstuffs, Excel, KPMG and the New Zealand Dairy Board to name a few.
