The Eukanuba Search for New Zealand's oldest dog has resulted in a tie between two distinguished 22-year-olds.
Princess, a Corgi-cross from Whangarei shares the title with Spike, a Fox Terrier from Christchurch.
The pair were discovered after veterinarians across New Zealand were asked by Eukanuba to nominate their clinic's oldest dog. As a part of the competition, the veterinarians also took part in a survey on trends in small breed dogs which revealed obesity will be the top concern for small dogs in the years ahead.
